The Manager was unaware of the steps needed to change the battery in the smoke detector so she called the Owner. The Owner instructed her to just pull the wires to disconnect the smoke detector. It was left that way. With all of the trouble and inconvenience, we were offered to have one night free.

This hotel is very nice. The beds are very comfortable, rooms are clean and cozy, the staff is super nice, and they try their best to accommodate all their guest. It's under new ownership and they really have it looking great.

I have never experienced so much trouble in one hotel. I will be returning to Louisiana, but not to this hotel.

Stayed for 2 days. We got fresh towels when we asked but room wasn't clean when we came back from our event. Staff was very friendly.

I was disappointed the rooms had no refrigerator, microwave or iron/board. Breakfast was suppose to be served until 9:30 and everything but waffles were gone before 8:30. Room was clean and spacious but was disappointed in everything else. We were offered shuttle but refused it so we drove to the casino. Sorry, I wouldn't recommend or stay here again.

Trinity and other staff members were very nice and helpful. The facility is another story. My understanding is that this place is under new management. The new owner decided he was going to cut back on what is available to his customer. One of the reasons why I chose this hotel is because it advertised having a refrigerator, microwave, iron/ironing boarding and hair dryer in each room. We had to ask for a refrigerator, iron and ironing boarding. We had to leave our room and go to the lobby to use the one small microwave.

Electricity is finally restored. The manager had to do the laundry because there was no housekeeping available. We soon discovered that we were right next to the laundry room. The noise was excruciating, so we moved to another room. No more than 15 minutes into the room the smoke alarm began to beep because the battery was low. There was no maintenance available on the weekend so the Manager tried getting on the ladder to change the battery. She couldn't reach it, so we were offered another room. This time we thought to check the heater. The room filled with smoke when the heating unit was turned on, so we decided to stay in the room with the beeping smoke detector.

Our stay was from Thursday, December 7th thru Monday, December 11th. We checked in after driving from New Orleans airport. The room was cold, so we ranked up the heater to 80 degrees. The smoke alarm went off. The room smelled like an electrical fire. We moved to the next room. Overnight until midday on Friday, it snowed. We woke up to no electricity and no back up generator. Staff was off due to the unexpected snow. It was the first downfall since 1988.

d two rooms with king size beds. The staff was very friendly but the rooms were very musty to the point of our eyes burning and tearing up. The tubs were very slippery and no mats in the tub, the shower heads didn't work very well, very low pressure in the water. Mold was on the ceiling above the beds.

My husband and I had stopped staying at this hotel under the old owners because it had gone to the dogs. We decided to stop in one day to see what the place is like under new ownership and the manager named Trinity was very friendly and helpful. She showed us one of the newly remodeled rooms and gave us one of the brochures and her business card. She was so nice that she left a very good impression on us so when we could not get a comp room at the casino, we stayed at Ambassador. Trinity was on duty the day we stayed and again her personality and professionalism was a deal breaker for us. The room was clean, no more mildew smell, and the bed and pillows sleep more comfortably than the bed and pillows at the casino hotel. Also the toiletries are better than those at the casino hotel and the breakfast bar is very nice. My husband was very pleased with the waffle maker and the batter. I like the details given to the interior of the elevator. We will most definitely stay at Ambassador again and we told our friends about it. Very good job on making the hotel a nice place to stay again.
